Our Clients
Our clients come from all walks of life and no two sets of financial circumstances are the same.
Our Services
We specialise in financial planning, pensions and retirement planning, a full range of investments and savings advice, employee benefits, tax planning, estate planning, personal and corporate protection.
We understand that it is often difficult to navigate through the uncertainties with regards to all the financial topics in your life. Each life stage brings different financial challenges where you are often required to make complicated decisions, and each decision impacts the other life choices that you need to make.
Saving towards your future financial goals while still trying to enjoy the lifestyle you would like today is a lot to try and figure out on your own. You may have been misled by the financial services industry in the past and have accumulated investment products, with no idea if these are on track to achieve what is important to you. You may be paying more than you need to be. You may have no plan.
We help our clients to navigate through the financial decision-making process. We offer trained, educated and objective support, to help you create the right plan and achieve your goals.
We identify the uncertainties, map out your financial objectives and plan these out into actionable steps for you, so that you can make informed choices with confidence going forwards.
Holistic Financial Planning
We help our clients to identify and achieve their financial and lifestyle objectives. We encourage them to take ‘time out’ from an often-busy schedule to reflect on their needs and priorities for the longer term. Strategies are then proposed to help meet the objectives set.
Each client situation is unique and we tailor our services and financial planning to the bespoke needs of each client. The goal of financial planning is to ultimately give you the peace of mind to know you are on the right track with your financial future.
Pensions and Retirement Planning
We help to review your current and previous pension arrangements, establishing projected pension benefits and advising on any potential pension shortfalls to meet future income needs. We evaluate the current asset allocations within your pensions, assess the performance and ensure that the investments meet your objectives and risk profile. We also analyse fees to ensure that your pension fund charges are competitive.
We help you to plan your retirement income and ensure that you access your benefits in the best way for you. We consider all options including Annuities, Phased and Flexible Drawdown, ISAs and any other potential income sources. We can also advise on the withdrawal of your Pension Commencement Lump Sum.
Tax Planning
We take a practical and thorough approach to tax planning to include both private and business circumstances.
Our tax planning ranges from the straightforward options that everyone should be aware of, to more bespoke arrangements for those with more complicated or more profitable situations.
As part of your financial planning process we will review your current situation and then devise and incorporate a tax strategy. The main objective is to reduce the tax that you pay and to make sure that your savings and investments are managed in a way that minimises the tax that will be due in the future – whether that be Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax or Inheritance Tax.
Portfolio Review Services
Our investment portfolio review services are holistic and comprehensive. We offer a proactive service that is transparent and accountable, with monthly reporting and recommendations for fund switching when deemed appropriate.
We follow a highly structured and disciplined approach that is shaped by research, to determine the most efficient investment strategy. This comprehensive approach includes implementing an asset allocation strategy and managing your investments over the medium to long term, taking advantage of proper tax planning.
Estate Planning
Our Estate Planning service aims to offer comprehensive advice about how to take advantage of the most tax-efficient and effective strategies to manage and protect your estate.
We can help you with all aspects of estate planning, including writing a will, the creation of trusts, funeral planning and perhaps most importantly, putting steps in place to potentially mitigate Inheritance Tax. Through careful planning we aim to help you protect and preserve your estate and its assets and safeguard your family's future legacy.
Protection
There is a wide range of Protection insurance available, designed to cushion you or your family against the impact of unexpected and potentially costly events including illness, accident, unemployment and death. There are many different products available, from private medical cover to life insurance, income protection and critical illness cover. We can help you to choose the right combination of cover for your needs.
Monitoring and Review Services
We hold regular review meetings with our clients where fund performance is analysed and financial models are updated, to ensure that planning remains on track. These meetings can be held in person, via video conference or over the telephone, depending on your preference.
The guidance and/or advice contained within the website is subject to the UK regulatory regime and is therefore primarily targeted at customers in the UK.
The value of your investment can go down as well as up and you may not get back the full amount invested.
Our Approach
We follow a six-step Financial Planning Process
Step 1. Initial Call
Before you commit to instructing a financial planner, you need to know if this is someone that you like and would like to work with. This initial call gives you an opportunity to get to know us and see if you would like to take things further. On this call we aim to understand your specific needs and give you feedback on whether we think that we can help you, before setting up an initial meeting.
Step 2. Fact Find Meeting
At this first meeting we will gather all the necessary documents and information about your financial situation so that we can define your personal and financial goals, understand your time frame for results and discuss how you feel about risk. This meeting will help us to establish where you are starting from and where you would like to go, and will allow us to understand what you want your future to look like. We will clearly explain and document the services to be provided to you and will lay out how and when we will be paid. This meeting can be held face-to-face, via teleconference or by telephone, depending on your preference. Initial Fact Find meetings are free of charge.
Step 3. Analysis and Evaluation Phase
Once all the necessary data has been collected, we will begin to build a financial plan around your specific goals, wants, and needs. We will analyse your information to assess your current situation and determine what you need to do in order to meet your goals. This will include analysing your assets, liabilities and cash-flows, current insurance coverage, pensions, investments and tax strategies.
Step 4. Developing and Presenting Financial Planning Recommendations
At a follow-up meeting, we will present our financial planning recommendations to address your goals, based on the information you have provided. We will go through our recommendations with you and help you to understand them, so you can make informed decisions. We will listen to your feedback and revise any recommendations as appropriate.
Step 5. Implementing the Financial Plan
We will finalise the financial plan and agree on how the recommendations will be carried out. This is the point in the process where we start implementing the actionable steps within your plan. You will receive a tangible list of actions as part of your financial plan. This includes the tasks that we will complete and be responsible for on your behalf, as well as any tasks that you need to carry out yourself as part of the plan.
Step 6. Ongoing Dialogue and Review
A financial plan should not be static. It is an ongoing process that should evolve and change with you. Our review meetings provide regular monitoring, adjustments and upgrades to your plan. Life will inevitably have ups and downs and we will be there to update your financial plan as needed, to ensure that you stay on track.
